BOTOX INJECTIONSMED SPA TREATMENTS » Wrinkle Relaxer
There’s a fine line between confidence & self-consciousness – that line’s a wrinkle! Thankfully, if you’ve got a few minutes to spare, we’ll make sure you don’t have to stand behind any lines.
Looking for the ultimate wrinkle eraser? You’ve found it. Botox is a minimally invasive cosmetic injectable that softens moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles that develop as we age. That’s why it is often referred to as a “wrinkle relaxer.” In fact, Botox treatments will not dramatically change your facial appearance.
Instead, you’ll see results that are natural-looking and striking within a few days. The muscles in your face are simply relaxed, so you can still frown, smile or look surprised without those pesky wrinkles and creases. Plus, it helps prevent lines and wrinkles from deepening over time.

How Does Botox Work?
Botox is a clear liquid that is injected with an ultra-fine needle into the area being treated. It prevents nerve signals in the facial muscles from contracting, causing the fine lines and wrinkles to relax and soften.
Once the muscles are at rest, the skin becomes smoother — creating a more natural relaxed appearance. It is FDA-approved, has been used for over 20 years, and is safe and very effective.
What Does An Injection Feel Like?
Quick and minimally invasive, your Rejuvalase certified practitioner will inject Botox with a very small needle directly into the muscles that need to be relaxed.
Most people only notice a tiny stinging sensation and experience no discomfort once the treatment is complete. Typically, you can return back to work or normal activity immediately post-treatment. On a scale from 1-10, most clients rate it a 1-2.
How Much Does Botox Cost?
The price of Botox injections depends on the size of your facial muscles, the number of treatment areas, the number of product units, and your desired outcome. Commonly, men need more injections than women because they have larger facial muscles.
Botox Cosmetic injections regularly cost $13/unit. Botox treatments typically cost between $250-$650 at Rejuvalase. For additional savings check out our Bank Your Botox Program!
Nationally, the average cost of Botox injections in 2018 is $397 according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
How Often Will I Need Botox Injections?
Because we each metabolize the product at a different rate, the outcome is different for each person. Optimal results are typically achieved when treatments are received at regular intervals — around 3-4 times per year.
With continued use, many clients find they can decrease the number of maintenance sessions to between 2-3 visits per year. Muscle mass, age, and desired outcome will also inform your treatment protocol.

FREQUENTLY ASKED BOTOX QUESTIONS
Botox is injected into a muscle to modulate and soften the muscle action. By doing this, fine lines and wrinkles are reduced.
What is Botox Typically Used For?
Botox is used to temporarily soften the action of the muscles that cause squinting, lines and wrinkles. Botox can also be used in the masseter muscles to reduce a thick jawline, in the underarms or hands to treat excessive sweating, in the neck muscles to tighten loose skin and so much more!
How long does Botox last?
A Botox treatment typically lasts 3 months, and should only be administered by a licensed registered nurse, nurse practitioner or medical doctor only.
How is Botox Treatment Unique?
Botox has been used successfully since the 1980s and continues to be one of the most popular rejuvenation treatments loved by many. It works well and it is easy to treat, with results developing in less than 2 weeks
Who can be treated with Botox?
Botox Cosmetic is suitable for men and women ages 20-60+.
Who should not get Botox treatments?
Botox is NOT suitable for those who have an infection at the proposed injection site(s) and in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any botulinum toxin preparation or to any of the components in the formulation. Caution should be used when Botox is intended to be used on areas where there is inflammation present, or there is excessive weakness or atrophy of the muscles to be targeted.
What areas can be treated with Botox?
Botox Cosmetic is suitable for treatment of lines around the eyes, eyebrows, and forehead; raising the eyebrows; treatment for masseters for teeth grinding; treatment for sweaty palms and underarms; treatment of “golf ball” dents on the chin; treatment for a “gummy smile” where the gums are overexposed; treatment for down-turned smile of the lips; treatment for puckering the lips, “lip flip” and so much more.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Typically one treatment every 3 months is suitable for most cases. Because we believe in conservative treatment, a first time Botox visit may require a second follow up 2 weeks after to deliver more treatment should further correction be desired. Follow up treatments do require additional purchase and are not included as part of the initial treatment.
What are the typical side effects of Botox treatment?
Generally, negative side effects from Botox are as low as 1-3% of cases. In 3% of cases, eyelid drooping was reported following treatment of eyebrow lines. In 1% of cases, eyelid edema (accumulation of fluid) was noted in the treatment of crow’s feet (around the eyes). In 2% of cases, a headache was reported following treatment of Botox to forehead lines. While rare, some bruising and acne at the injection site are the main side effects of Botox treatment.
Can I get Botox before a special event or travel?
Because Botox typically takes up to 2 weeks for full effect, it is recommended to treat at least 2 weeks prior to your special event. This will allow results to develop as well as allow time for healing should any bruising or acne at the treated site be noted. Travel post-treatment is completely safe. Massages, facials, yoga, workouts and parties/drinking are to be skipped on the same day of your Botox treatment.
What kind of results should I expect after Botox?
When treating fine lines and wrinkles, a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles should result once Botox treatment takes effect. Follow up or alternative treatments may be necessary if further correction is desired.
Does Botox treatment hurt?
Botox is described to be virtually painless. Some may say that Botox is mildly uncomfortable upon injection. However, most clients report that they don’t even feel the treatment being administered. Some areas tend to be more sensitive than others.
Is Botox suitable for men too?
Absolutely. Men, as well as women, can appreciate great results from Botox Cosmetic treatments at Rejuvalase Medspa.
Is Botox Safe?
While many read stories of botched Botox treatments, many do not realize that Botox has been used safely and successfully for over 30 years. Botox is incredibly safe when administered by the skilled and licensed providers of Rejuvalase Medspa.
