MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP FACIAL
Beautiful, fresh, glowing skin is an asset, giving the face and body a youthful appearance. A professional skin care regime helps to maintain, preserve and protect skin from sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles – but as time passes, collagen production slows, and topical treatments are not enough. When it is time to take a bigger step to rejuvenate your skin, Microneedling with PRP may be the right treatment option. This is one of the latest, most effective innovations in aesthetics.
Microneedling with PRP is an effective, highly advanced technique to trigger natural collagen production in the skin tissue. Microneedling is a treatment that involves the use of tiny needles that produce micro-injuries to the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural collagen production – that substance that provides flexibility and strength to skin and body tissue. To speed the healing process, microneedling is further enhanced by PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). The PRP is obtained from drawing a small amount of your own blood, from which the plasma is separated to concentrate on healing properties.
At Rejuvalase Medspa, our mission is to provide our clients with the most modern treatments to preserve, maintain, and restore skin on the face and body. We believe Microneedling with PRP can do wonders for skin that has begun to show the signs of age. Your body’s natural healing processes are accelerated with PRP, and as the collagen production increases, your skin regains its natural elasticity, smoothness, firmness, and glow.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED
Microneedling with PRP is most commonly performed on the face and neck however it can be used on several different areas of the body, including the décolleté, arms, abdomen, back, hands and legs.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is Microneedling with PRP right for me?
PRP is available to adults who want to improve the appearance of the skin. Microeedling is also an effective treatment for reducing the appearance of stretch marks. It is a safe and effective treatment for all skin types. The depth of the microneedling will be adjusted for each individual and the body areas to be treated. This low-risk treatment is appropriate for clients with darker skin types and for clients for whom laser treatments would be inappropriate.
How Does PRP Work?
PRP is created from a person’s own blood and is a concentrated blend of plasma cells and specific growth factors. First, a small amount of blood is drawn into a sterile tube by one of our Therapists. The tube is placed in a special centrifuge that spins and separates the blood components into red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelet-rich plasma. While your Platelet Rich Plasma is being “spun”, your skin will be gently cleansed and prepared for the treatment. The Platelet Rich Plasma is then used in conjunction with Microneedling to deliver unsurpassed, nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, or scar revision.
How Many Microneedling with PRP Treatments are Recommended?
We generally recommend 2-3 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart for you to see the full effects. For very deep lines or scars, you may need 4-6 treatments in total. After you have achieved the full effect, you can maintain your results with 1-2 treatments a year.

What Will I Experience During Treatment?
PRP Therapy with Microneedling – similar to the Vampire Facial – treatment will take about 60 minutes. There will be 20 minutes of numbing, followed by 15 minutes for the microneedling to be performed. The PRP is then applied to your skin like a Masque. This takes a few minutes.
When Will I See Results?
Since PRP stimulates your body to produce its own natural collagen, the results are gradual. You will start to see results about one month after your treatment, with full results at three months. We generally recommend 2-3 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart for you to see the full effects. For very deep lines or scars, you will usually need 4-6 treatments in total.
Can Any Skin Type use PRP?
Yes. Since PRP comes from your own body, it can safely be used on any skin type.
Can I Combine PRP with Other Treatments?
Rest assured, all of our dermal fillers can be used in conjunction with PRP Therapy and each has their place and purpose. For example, Restylane and Juvederm fill specific lines and folds where as Platelet Rich Plasma improves overall volume, fullness, and skin tone. PRP acts to improve the overall quality, tightness, and texture of your skin and dermal fillers work on individual, deeper wrinkles.
This treatment must be performed by a trained Therapist. Our Body Specialists are trained Therapists that specialize in aesthetic, non-surgical, non- invasive body transformation procedures.
